BRANDING, INTERIOR

For Son in Law, BrandWorks was engaged in developing a brand that would reflect their menu and approach to their food; traditional Thai flavours, but with some fun modern twists. It was important that the brand was unique, fun and bright, but would also come across as approachable, local and communicate the affordable quality of their food. 

After reading the story of Son in Law eggs, one interpretation being that mother in law would serve these eggs to the son in law if he’s being less than kind to her daughter, there was a playfulness and cheekiness that the designers gravitated towards to. This resulted in playing contrast with bold shapes and unbridled drawings, a reflection of the son/mother in law relationship and a logo that encompassed energy, but also brought in nuances from the Thai language. 

BrandWorks also assisted with the facelift of the interiors, ensuring that the bold and playful brand translated to the interiors, but also showcased the values and importance of family.
